What is Invoice Discounting?

Invoice Discounting is a way of raising cash quickly by informing the Invoice Discounter about current invoices you are awaiting to be paid.

Invoice Discounting will release a percentage of the total funds of all the invoices to you so you have available funds to carry on with your business. You could typically release between 80-90% but is negotiable depending on your circumstances.

How does Invoice Discounting work?

You send out your invoices to customer as normal then inform the Invoice Discounter about your invoices, they then release the main amount of the funds. You continue to chase customer for the invoice payment and when all is completed the Invoice Discounter releases the rest of the funds, typically 10-20% minus a fee.

The Invoice discounting company makes profit by taking a small percentage of the total invoice fee.

Choosing Invoice Discounting allows you to:

  • Keep good credit

  • Maintain your own sales ledger and collect payments as due
